Scholarships at The Community Foundation

TCF's searchable database offers more than 60 scholarship opportunities for students living in the Central Virginia region.

Our database allows you to enter specific criteria to narrow your search. Criteria might include your high school or area of academic interest. Or you may view an alphabetical listing of all scholarships available through The Community Foundation. 

 The scholarship program will be announced in early January. 
Access to applications will be available at that time.

How to Apply

Eligibility and application materials vary from scholarship to scholarship. Carefully review scholarship guidelines before applying.

Scholarship awards are announced in early May. Students will be notified by email or letter.

Step 1Determine your eligibility by searching for scholarship opportunities.

View All Scholarships – This option will allow you to search for a specific scholarship by viewing an alphabetical listing of all scholarships offered by The Community Foundation.

Search by Criteria – This option will allow you to enter specific criteria (i.e. your high school, area of academic interest, etc.) and learn about scholarships for which you are eligible.

Step 2 — Create an account through our online application system.

Once you have determined that you are eligible for a scholarship, you must create an account and complete your application through our online system by Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 5 pm. Click on the Apply Now button on the scholarship's description page to get started.
