Thank you for visiting The Community Foundation’s website. Our Privacy Policy is designed to assist you in understanding how we collect and use the personal information you provide to us and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our website, as well as our products and services.

We request information from you on our contribution/registration payment form. To make a donation or to register for an event, you must provide contact information (such as your name and shipping address) and financial information (such as your credit card number and expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill your specific request. If we have trouble processing an order, we will use this information to contact you. We will never sell your information to third parties.

Charitable Contributions Policy

Generally, The Community Foundation does not refund charitable contributions made online via this website.  The Internal Revenue Service recognizes charitable contributions as irrevocable, unless a condition of the charitable contribution cannot be satisfied by the charity.  The Community Foundation will provide each donor with a charitable contribution gift acknowledgment to document properly the donation for the donor’s income tax records.

Refund/Cancellation Policy

The Community Foundation is unable to offer a refund for event registration unless the event is cancelled.  If you are unable to attend an event, someone from your organization or family is welcome to take your place.

Security

We are committed to ensuring your information is secure. We have partnered with InternetSecure to bill users for goods and services. InternetSecure provides secure on-line credit card transaction processing services and does not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purpose beyond filling your order.

In addition, The Community Foundation incorporates a number of procedures to safeguard the confidentiality of your personal information, including Secure Sockets Layer (“SSL”) for all financial transactions through this Site.  We also take several steps to protect your personal information in our facilities.  Access to your personal information is restricted.  Only employees who need access to your personal information to perform a specific job are granted access to such information.  When you visit www.tcfrichmond.org, you access servers that are kept in a secure physical environment, within a locked room and behind an electronic firewall.  While we use industry-standard precautions to safeguard your personal information, we cannot guarantee complete security.  100% complete security does not presently exist anywhere online or offline.  Therefore, we ask that you remain vigilant and report to us any problems you have while using our electronic commerce site.  You may contact us in the following ways:
