Biography:
John A. Luke, Jr. is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of MeadWestvaco Corporation. He began his career with the Company in 1979 and, in 1989, he became a member of the Corporation’s Board of Directors. He was elected chairman in November 2002.
Mr. Luke holds a number of corporate directorships, as well as leadership positions within the nonprofit community. His charitable involvement includes board service with First Tee of Richmond and Chesterfield, Richmond’s Future and Richmond Performing Arts Center.He also serves on the Board of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, VCU's School of Engineering Foundation and the VCU Board of Visitors .
