Biography:
In 2010, Bob Sledd was appointed as Senior Economic Advisor to Governor Bob McDonnell. Bob works closely with Governor McDonnell and his cabinet on job creation and economic development initiatives. He was previously Chief Executive Officer for Performance Food Group from the company’s inception in 1987 to August 2001 and again from March 2004 to 2006. He is also the former Chairman of Performance Food Group (PFG), serving from 1995 until 2008 when the company was acquired and then merged with Vistar and Roma Food. Bob was most recently managing partner of Pinnacle Ventures LLC.
Bob serves on the board of directors of Owens & Minor, SCP Pool Corporation and Universal Corporation. Long active in community affairs, Bob currently serves on the board of Venture Richmond, VCU School of Business Foundation and Homeward, the regional planning and coordinating agency for homeless services and homelessness prevention. He also serves as the chairman of the Bon Secours Health Foundation.
