Impact 100 Richmond
Connecting Women – Changing Lives
Overview
Thank you for visiting the website of Impact 100 Richmond, a grassroots effort that champions the power of women giving together. Our mission is to advance transformative giving in the Richmond region by uniting women's ideas and actions through philanthropy. Our goal is to change the lives of women and their families by transforming a local nonprofit through a significant, collective financial investment.
How does it work?
Our strategy is well-researched, yet simple: 100 women will give $1,000 each to create a $100,000 grant to be given to a mutually-selected nonprofit. More than 100 women are welcome to join, however, and our impact will be that much greater!
YOU Call the Shots
- You give the funds and you help decide which nonprofit benefits.
- Each member (who must give a minimum gift of $1,000) gets one vote on the final grant.
-
Each member can serve on one of these Focus Committees:
- Grants Committee
- Events Committee
- PR/Communications Committee
*A small group can choose to share one vote by giving together in an Impact Circle. See FAQs for details on Impact Circles.
Focus Areas
We will work together to impact a nonprofit in one of these focus areas:
- Education
- Family
- Arts & Culture
- Health & Wellness
- Environment
What is the long-term impact?
Similar efforts across the country have yielded tremendous results. If we follow the trend, in five years, Impact 100 Richmond members will have provided more than $1,000,000 in new funds to help the Richmond community. In five years, a member will have transformed her $5,000 gift into $1,000,000 for the good of our community.
