Gloucester Community Foundation

The Gloucester Community Foundation (GCF) was established in 2000 to preserve and enhance the quality of life in Gloucester through philanthropy.  In 2010, GCF celebrated its 10th anniversary with the addition of two new funds, and grants totaling $166,000 to benefit local citizens.  Moreover, GCF announced that cumulative grants now exceed $1 million since the foundation's inception.  GCF also experienced unprecedented growth as the Gloucester Community Endowment grew by 30% - the largest annual increase to date - with contributions from individuals and local businesses.  This support is likely to continue as GCF has partnered with the local Chamber of Commerce to engage community businesses to become business partners and make a difference in their own back yard.
