Grantmaking falls into two basic categories: grants in response to proposals and grants in response to donor recommendation. We receive unsolicited proposals only for grants that will be awarded on a competitive basis. The Community Foundation, Jenkins Foundation, and Sheltering Arms Fund consider proposals two times each year. The Gray Foundation considers proposals only in the summer funding cycle.
