Bank of America Lori Ann Robinson Scholarship
Description
The Lori Ann Robinson Memorial Scholarship was established in 1997 by Bank of America to honor the memory of Lori Ann Robinson, a bank employee, who died tragically. Annual scholarships will be awarded on a competitive basis to students who have been admitted to an accredited two year or four-year college or university in the continental United States and intend to pursue a major in accounting, finance, economics, or business administration. A recipient who maintains good academic standing and wishes to continue in college will be eligible for supplemental funding for up to five years of undergraduate study.
Eligibility
An eligible student must be a senior attending a state-accredited high school in Richmond City or Henrico, Chesterfield, Hanover or King and Queen counties;
An eligible student must demonstrate outstanding academic work and financial need; and
An eligible student must be a candidate for high school graduation at the end of the current academic year and plan to enroll in an accredited two year or four-year college or university in the continental United States the following academic year and intend to pursue a major in accounting, finance, economics, or business administration.
How Winners Are Chosen
Academic achievement based on grade point average and SAT scores.
Financial need based on the completed financial aid forms and information regarding pending scholarship applications, if any; and
Interest in pursuing the study of accounting, finance, economics, or business administration.
Award Amounts
Minimum of $1,500 each year for up to 4 yearsHow to Apply
Send the attached completed application including:
- Supporting documents outlined on application form
- Personal statement outlining future goals and post-secondary academic interests.
- Complete top portion of attached financial aid form for each college/university being considered and send directly to financial aid office. College/university will complete form and return to The Community Foundation.
Note: Students applying for the Bank of America Lori Ann Robinson Memorial Scholarship will also be considered for support from the ACG Richmond Chapter scholarship program. You do not need to specify which scholarship you are applying for on your application form. Applicants will be automatically considered for both scholarship awards. Awards from the ACG Richmond Chapter scholarship program will be in the amount of $1,500 and are nonrenewable.

Renewing Your Scholarship
College students who are presently receiving this scholarship, and have maintained good academic standing, may reapply by submitting the completed application form together with a transcript of their grades for the preceding school term and academic year.
Please provide a brief letter describing your campus activities, academic progress, and any changes in your financial status.
Applications for continued assistance will be considered on a competitive basis.
