Becky Briggs Memorial Scholarship
Description
The Becky Briggs Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by the Western Henrico County Rotary Club to provide a permanent memorial to Becky Briggs, daughter of a Western Henrico County Rotarian. Ms Briggs was an aspiring senior at Marymount School at the time of her death in 1990.
Eligibility
An eligible student must be a senior attending Douglas Freeman High School, Hermitage High School or J.R. Tucker High School.
An eligible student must demonstrate outstanding commitment to academics, school and community activities, and also a commitment to fellow classmates.
An eligible student must be a candidate for high school graduation at the end of the current academic year, and plan to enroll in an accredited four-year college or university in the continental United States the following academic year.
How Winners Are Chosen
Commitment to fellow classmates and involvement in extracurricular and community service activities.
Academic achievement will be evaluated based on grade point average and academic honors.
