Maria Laqeuer Scholarship
Description
The Maria Laqueur Scholarship Fund was established in 2008 to support post-secondary educational opportunities for qualifying graduates of Lancaster High School in Lancaster County, Virginia.
Eligibility
An eligible student must be a senior attending Lancaster High School in Lancaster County, Virginia.
An eligible student must demonstrate academic achievement, financial need, and a commitment to community service.
An eligible student must be a candidate for high school graduation at the end of the current academic year, and plan to enroll in an accredited 2- or 4-year community college, college or university in the United States the following academic year.
How Winners Are Chosen
Academic achievement will be evaluated based on grade point average and SAT scores.
Financial need will be evaluated on the basis of the completed financial aid forms and information regarding pending scholarship applications, if any.
Involvement in the community through public service.

Send the attached completed application form including:
- Supporting documents outlined on application form
- Personal statement of future goals
Fill out the attached Financial Aid Form as instructed and send it to the university/college(s) for completion. The school will forward it to The Community Foundation.
