Moss-Henderson Scholarship


Description

The Moss-Henderson Scholarship Fund was established in 2001 to support the post-secondary educational pursuits of qualifying graduates of Mathews County public schools who plan to attend the University of Virginia.

Eligibility

An eligible student must be a senior attending Mathews County public schools

An eligible student must demonstrate outstanding academic work and strong participation in school activities and community service. The Scholarship Committee will consider financial need, but it is not a requisite to receive an award.

An eligible student must be a candidate for high school graduation at the end of the current academic year, and plan to enroll at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia.

How Winners Are Chosen

Academic achievement;

Faculty or guidance counselor recommendation;

Statement of future goals;

Record of community involvement.

Award Amounts

$500
