Northern Neck Rotary Scholarship

Description

Members of the Northern Neck Rotary Club established this scholarship fund in 2002 to support post-secondary educational scholarships for qualifying graduates of Northumberland High School, Lancaster High School or Northern Neck Technical Center. Scholarships will be awarded to students who have demonstrated either through academic performance, extra-curricular activities or community service, the potential to lead a productive life.

Eligibility

An eligible student must be a senior attending Northumberland High School, Lancaster High School or Northern Neck Technical Center.

An eligible student must demonstrate a commitment to academics, school and community activities.

An eligible student must be a candidate for high school graduation at the end of the current academic year, and plan to enroll in an accredited two-year or four-year college or university, community college, trade school or other post-secondary education in the continental United States the following academic year.

How Winners Are Chosen

Commitment and involvement in extracurricular and community service activities;

Academic achievement based on transcript and academic honors;

Future goals; and

Demonstration of financial need.

How to Apply

Send the attached completed application including:

  • Supporting documents outlined on application form
  • Statement of financial need.
  • Personal statement outlining future goals.

Complete top portion of attached financial aid form for each college/university being considered and send directly to financial aid office. College/university will complete form and return to The Community Foundation.
