Page J. Traylor Scholarship
Description
The Page J. Traylor Scholarship was established in 2006 by Mrs. Traylor who dedicated 33 years to education as a guidance counselor and teacher; 24 of those years were with Thomas Dale High School. The purpose of the scholarship fund is to support post-secondary educational scholarships for qualifying graduates of Thomas Dale High School, Chesterfield County, Virginia.
Eligibility
An eligible student must be a senior attending Thomas Dale High School, 3626 W. Hundred Road, Chester, VA 23831
An eligible student must demonstrate solid academic work, and strong participation in school and community service activities.
An eligible student must be a candidate for high school graduation at the end of the current academic year, and plan to enroll in an accredited two or four-year college or university in the continental United States the following academic year.
How Winners Are Chosen
Academic achievement based on grade point average and SAT scores
Leadership in school activities and involvement in the community through public service
Faculty recommendation
Response to essay question
