Grantee Publicity Guidelines


The Community Foundation is pleased to have provided funding to your organization.

Please include an acknowledgement of the Foundation’s funding of your projects in your press releases, newsletters, brochures, annual reports, or other promotional materials related to the project. By doing so, you will help the community understand how the Foundation supports effective nonprofit organizations in our region. 

How to list your community grant

Please acknowledge The Community Foundation (or funding partner) by its full name.

Example

Funding for (Organization Name or Project Title) was provided by The Community Foundation Serving Richmond and Central Virginia.

How to list your donor advised or designated grant

Please acknowledge the individual fund that provided grant support to your organization.  The name of the fund is listed in your grant transmittal letter.  If your organization receives grant support from more than one fund, you are welcome to list the individual funds names with a footnote indicating that they are "Charitable funds of The Community Foundation Serving Richmond and Central Virginia."

Funding for (Organization Name or Project Title) was provided by the XYZ Fund of The Community Foundation Serving Richmond and Central Virginia.

The Community Foundation Serving Richmond and Central Virginia (TCF) provides stewardship to a growing number of charitable funds created by individuals, families and corporations.
