Biography:
Karen joined the staff of The Community Foundation Serving Richmond and Central Virginia in 1996 as the first Finance Officer for the Foundation. In her current role, she oversees the accounting, finance, human resources and administrative functions of the Foundation. Before joining TCF, Karen worked on a part-time basis for 17 years in accounting. Prior to that, she taught middle school math in Henrico County as well as the Gifted Program at her school.
Karen is a member of the Fiscal and Administrative Officers Group (FAOG), a professional network for Community Foundations. She is a past member of the Human Resources sub-committee of this group. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering at her church.
