Biography:
Marcia Flaherty joined The Community Foundation in August 2005 as an Administrative Assistant. Now, as a Donor Engagement Officer, Marcia works with donors to facilitate effective grantmaking. She oversees the Foundation’s Due Diligence Team which confirms the charitable status of nonprofits in order to process nearly 4,000 donor-advised grant recommendations annually. Before returning to her native Richmond, Marcia served as Vice President for Administration for the Brown County Community Foundation in Nashville, Indiana. Her volunteer activities include serving as an Elder and treasurer of Forest Hill Presbyterian Church. She is an active volunteer with both CenterStage and The Firehouse Theatre Project.
